"Looking good there for a zombie," Santana teased, turning around with a grateful smile to see Kurt up and about. "I seriously was beginning to wonder how long it would be before your body would start to smell. Trust me, Babyface, I would've been pissed as hell if the cops had shown up to question me about the strange odors coming from our apartment... Then again, this apartment's shitty enough that they might just assume it was normal for it to reek of dead body."

"Think you could hold down some coffee, babe?" she asked, retrieving a spoon from the drawer before turning with her mug of coffee in one hand and a bottle of creamer in the other to bump the drawer closed with one hip. The fact was, she really had been worried about Kurt. The last thing she wanted was for him to get so sick that he needed an extended stay in the hospital, and had to end up going back to Lima. Santana was only as brave as the fag to her hag, and without him, there was no doubt in her mind that she would've been on the next plane with a one way ticket to Ohio until she could figure out something else.

Then again, she wasn't sure how she would handle going back to Lima. The truth was, she'd only seen Brittany once since the night of the graduation party, and while Brittany wasn't exactly known for her high level of intelligence, there was a great deal of guilt weighing heavily on Santana concerning her girlfriend. She knew that the mistake she'd made on the night of their graduation party wasn't something Brittany ever would've guessed, and maybe that made it even worse. The knowledge that, for all intents and purposes, she'd totally gotten away with what she'd done. As she finally finished stirring the creamer into her coffee, and took a seat across from Kurt, she raised her dark eyes to meet his gaze. "You starting to feel human again?"
